A week already!!!

A week ago we were handed our keys, it's gone so fast and we have unpacked quite a bit. Still way too much to go!
Here's some pics, we don't own much to fill it up yet, we were in a one bedroom before so space was limited.
We will be slowly making our house our home.

We have our keys

Best wedding anniversary ever!
Bank paid and fairmont delivered the keys.
They have been so great in working around us and the banks, easing such a stressful time.
We are so excited, and have no idea where to start!

Well that was upsetting

We have had a long and stressful day, with no good news.
The silly valuer didn't submit his report, bank didn't pay, hence we didn't get our keys.
We have had to cancel money for
Removalists, for weekend and now move in with my parents as our lease is up and we are homeless from tomorrow.

We had our carpet laid today and love it, house looks great but still little things are being finished off.
Here's some pics from today.

What a week!

We have had a week!
We have seen bathrooms installed, everything completed and corrected and the house looks fabulous!
Fairmont have pulled out all stops this week, and displayed amazing team work which has impressed us immensely and reminded us why we chose them.
After some delays they have displayed fast, great quality work and we are excited again .
The bank has delayed us and stressed us now, still hoping payment has gone ahead so we can get our keys tomorrow.
Watch this space and cross your fingers and toes

Handover in a week

Very exciting and stressful times.
As per email, everything is being fixed and is going faster. Really hope they can sail through with finishings so that come handover we are right to get the keys.

Woohoo we have a date

We have been given the hand over date 7th dec which is exciting.
We have seen cornice fixed, bath corrected, splash back done, and tiles started in the bathroom.
Hoping things go full steam ahead to be ready in two weeks. Here's some pics that we managed to squeeze in whilst tiler was packing up.

6 months on

We have entered our 6 month of our build, with the finish line not quite in sight or stress free yet.
We have had a few things completed to our delight, such as front door colour, paint nearly finished, lights put in and kitchen.
We are expecting bench tops this week and splash back to be completed.
We have had a few errors that we had pointed out ages ago, still not corrected. I still have a feature niche hole instead of what they have in their display home. Holes in the mortar, bricks not right on the slab as well as no electrical cable in our front pillars so they told us the pillars would be knocked down to do. As well as incorrect cornices. That was a month ago and it hasn't been done.
They have neglected to tell us that our shower door can't open to get in because they have a vanity too close and a bath enclosing it in, not to plan. No idea how we will be having this problem corrected.
Really feeling depressed with the build, an regretting builder at this point. Here are some pics below:

Will we've finished by the end of November?

We have seen tiles completed, paint started and kitchen and vanities go in in this week. Wonder if it will be finished in 3 weeks as told 2 weeks ago.
The errors aren't fixed yet and there's a couple of new ones too.
We are loving our colour choices, everything is coming together nicely.
Hope to report so more positive news in the coming weeks.
